C. R. Shelby is a passionate writer living in Lubbock, Texas, with her husband, two kids, and two beloved dogs. With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from Texas Tech University—Guns Up, Red Raiders!—she balances her full-time role at a Fortune 100 company with her love for writing and raising a family.

C. R. has been writing on and off since the age of eight, but finally decided later in life that it was too short to wait until retirement to pursue her passion. She writes romance thriller-suspense novels, keeping her creative visions open for future romance works. She has a future project, The Iron Brotherhood Series, in the development phase, with plans to publish the first novel in the series, Inked Judgments, in the latter half of 2024 or early part of 2025.

When she’s not writing, C. R. loves to read, spend time with family and friends, and dote on her fur babies. Known for her fast-writing pace, she can complete a full novel in just three weeks. She approaches writing with a straightforward, no-nonsense attitude, believing that hard work and a strong work ethic are the keys to success. Her writing process is pragmatic—outline first, write in scenes, and focus on refining the details during the editing phase.
